Tuesday Ladies Winter Schedule

Tuesday Ladies

Winter Season Starts January 7/14, 2025  TBC

The Ladies League plays 6 ends and runs every Tuesday night starting at 7:00pm.  Practice ice will be available at 6:30 pm and weekly announcements will be made at 6:50 pm.

This is a fun league with an emphasis on learning and inclusivity. Women of all ages and abilities are welcome. Each week, it is the vice's responsibility to record the outcome of their game under the Ladies League section on the club bulletin board. Please note whether your game was a win, loss or tie and indicate your team's final score.

A win will be worth 2 points, a tie with be worth 1 point, and a loss with be worth zero points.  Standing will be determined by the total number of points, with ties decided by total rock score.  Should a team choose to end their game before all ends have been played, the other team will add 1 point / end not played to their final rock score.

Two members of the original team must be able to play, otherwise the game will be considered a default.  A default is equivalent to a loss and will be worth zero points.  If you are unwell, please stay home.  Please notify your skip well before gametime of your absence and find a spare to fill in.

This year we will have a bye team, which means there are 4 people who may be able to fill in, in addition to the spare list.

Good Curling Etiquette:

  • Arrive on time for your game and ready to go.
  • Start the game by wishing the other team “good curling”.
  • Finish the game by congratulating the other team on a "good game".
  • Stand still while the opposition is throwing.
  • Stand in between the hog lines when it is not your team to throw.
  • Acknowledge good shots for either team.
  • Speak up right away if you touch a rock that is moving (a burned rock) or a rock that is still (a displaced rock) with your broom, foot or something else. Allow the rock to continue, and wait for skips call before you remove it.

  • It is traditional curling etiquette for the winning team to buy a beverage for the losing team and the losing team often offers to purchase the next round.

Housekeeping:

  • Help us keep the ice in good condition – maintain your equipment and replace old grippers as needed.
  • After your shot, please get up to your feet and keep your knees and hands off the ice surface.
  • Only water is allowed at the ice surface.
